Candidate Statement:
(In response to the question, "Please explain why you believe you are qualified for the judicial position for which you are seeking election.")
Having happily dedicated my career to one in public service, I am seeking my fourth term as judge on the Tenth District Court of Appeals. I believe that I am uniquely qualified to continue to serve as an appellate judge due to my extensive judicial experience and well-rounded litigation background. I have served Franklin County as judge for 28 years where I have presided over jury trials, court trials, appeals, and have had the honor on multiple occasions to serve as a visiting judge on the Supreme Court of Ohio. I have been elected to, and served on, three of the busiest courts in the state of Ohio: the Franklin County Municipal Court, the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas, and the Tenth District Court of Appeals. I have a proven record and reputation for fairness, proper judicial temperament, and for treating people with dignity and respect. I believe these experiences and qualifications are the reasons I have earned the highest rating of "Highly Recommended" each and every time I have screened with the CBA Judicial Screening Committee.
This record provides me with experience, wisdom and judgment to be re-elected to the Tenth District Court of Appeals.
