Candidate Statement:

(In response to the question, "Please explain why you believe you are qualified for the judicial position for which you are seeking election.")

I have been on the Franklin County Common Pleas bench for 18 years. In that time, I have heard over 20,000 felony cases. I have never had to retry any of my criminal cases. I have heard over 30,000 civil cases and have only had 6 that were reversed. I have never been sanctioned with a disciplinary case nor have I ever had to defend myself in a lawsuit.

I have instituted programs for inmates, as well as veterans by introducing the Power Breath Breathing and Mediation programs. I have incentive programs directed at young women who fit a particular category on probation, that allows them to reintegrate into society in a meaningful and safe way. I believe in the American judicial system and want to continue this important work.
