Mary Kay Fenlon
Candidate for:
Franklin County Municipal Court
Undergraduate Education:
Bachelor of Arts - Criminal Justice, The Ohio State University
Legal Education:
Juris Doctorate, Capital University Law School
Legal Experience:
I have over 30 years of government, private and in-house corporate experience. I was a hearing examiner for the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio, a partner at Porter Wright handling complex litigation and regulatory matters for public utilities and other businesses, and as a General Counsel at AT&T, handling litigation, business and regulatory matters in Ohio and other states.
Candidate Statement:
(In response to the question, "Please explain why you believe you are qualified for the judicial position for which you are seeking election.")
I believe that I can bring a unique perspective to the bench with my diverse legal background. My long-standing commitment to the citizens of central Ohio to serve those in need through my pro bono work and other community service has made me sensitive to the issues that impact our community, many of which ultimately come before the court. I can assist in addressing the legal and human needs that impact those that come before the court, so that all members of the community have fair and equal access to the available resources within and outside of the judicial system.
